Overview

During the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis, Christian girls have found ways to prayerfully take measures to help keep our community engaged in activities while facing challenges in church, school, and their communities.

We connect our vision into our mission-enabling youth between the ages of 13-17 to demonstrate their talents and develop their interest areas and the mature adults to share their years of wisdom and observation about potential nominees.

Our nominations highlight individuals organizing and leading unique activities or projects that typically don't get noticed. They describe youth who help others and improve the quality of life in the community.

Nomination Categories

The Christian Girl Who Rocks Award

A Christian Girl Who Rocks (CGR™) Award: Awards youth for their Outstanding Community Service who engage in community service activities beyond the church or school. For example, community service is the area of entrepreneurship, assisting the physical challenge, working with senior citizens, the homeless, those with special needs, or any other activity that benefits the community.

Requirements: Must be between the ages of 13-17 years old. Please include all the youth's volunteer hours and a 2-page single-spaced essay. We must receive two endorsement letters from your school Principle and teacher. Along with the two-page paper, nominees must have high-resolution photos with them in each picture actively providing service.

The Justice Leadership Service Award

A Christian Girl Who Rocks (CGR™) Justice Leadership Service: The Justice Leadership Service Award honors an individual advocate for youth justice who embodies passion, boldness, and perseverance. It is committed to raising the voices, experiences, and expertise of system-involved youth and people of color to ensure that those most directly impacted by injustice are at the forefront of the youth justice movement.

Requirements: Must be between the ages of 13-17 years old. Please include all the youth's volunteer hours and a 2-page single-spaced essay. We must receive two endorsement letters from leaders in their justice community. Along with the two-page paper, have high-resolution photos with the nominee in each picture providing service.

The Humanitarian Award

A Christian Girl Who Rocks (CGR™) in Humanitarian Service: The Humanitarian Award awards youth who have made efforts to make their community a better place or are active in local or state government. Nominees have managed political campaigns, served on school boards and youth courts, built and hosted campaign websites, or have organized fundraisers. They also designed playgrounds, repaired houses, and helped elders and others in need.

Requirements: Must be between the ages of 13-17 years old. Please include all the youth's volunteer hours and a 2-page single-spaced essay. We must receive two endorsement letters from two community leaders to share the impact of your service. Along with the two-page paper, have high-resolution photos with the nominee in each picture providing humanitarian service.

The Innovator Award

A Christian Girl Innovator Award: Awards youth creators who are imaginative about the future of humanity. As an innovator, you have identified a problem and have a solution. Have you created ways to make life simpler? This category allows you to share your brilliant solutions to any of these areas, Technology, Sports, Engineering, Healthcare, Entertainment, Fashion, Animation, and Finance.

Requirement: Upload your new idea and develop a 10-minute max PowerPoint presentation or video.
